  1. 5.16

    ज्ञानेन तु तदज्ञानं येषां नाशितमात्मनः

    teṣhām — their

    But for those in whom that ignorance of the self has been destroyed by knowledge, knowledge lights up the highest as the sun lights up everything.

  2. 7.17

    तेषां ज्ञानी नित्ययुक्त एकभक्ितर्विशिष्यते

    teṣhām — amongst these

    Of these, the one who knows — always steady, devoted to the one thing — stands out. I am dear to that person, and that person is dear to me.

    अन्तवत्तु फलं तेषां तद्भवत्यल्पमेधसाम्

    teṣhām — by them

    But the fruit they gain has an end, for their understanding is small. Worshippers of the gods go to the gods; those devoted to me come to me.

  4. 9.22

    अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तो मां ये जनाः पर्युपासते

    teṣhām — of them

    Those who think of nothing else and worship me constantly — for them, always steady, I carry what they need.

  5. 10.10

    तेषां सततयुक्तानां भजतां प्रीतिपूर्वकम्

    teṣhām — to them

    To those constantly steady, who worship me with love, I give the understanding by which they come to me.

  6. 10.11

    तेषामेवानुकम्पार्थमहमज्ञानजं तमः

    teṣhām — for them

    Out of compassion for them alone, I destroy the darkness born of ignorance with the light of knowledge, standing in their own being.

    एवं सततयुक्ता ये भक्तास्त्वां पर्युपासते

    teṣhām — of them

    Those devoted who worship you, steadfast and constant, and those who worship the imperishable and unmanifest — which of them know better?

  8. 12.5

    क्लेशोऽधिकतरस्तेषामव्यक्तासक्तचेतसाम्

    teṣhām — of those

    The trouble is greater for those whose minds are set on the unmanifest, for the unmanifest is hard to reach.

    तेषामहं समुद्धर्ता मृत्युसंसारसागरात्

    teṣhām — of those

    for them, whose thought is on me, I am soon the one who lifts them out of the ocean of death and rebirth.

    ये शास्त्रविधिमुत्सृज्य यजन्ते श्रद्धयाऽन्विताः

    teṣhām — their

    Those who worship with faith but set aside what the scriptures direct — where do they stand, Krishna? In clarity, restlessness or inertia?

    आहारस्त्वपि सर्वस्य त्रिविधो भवति प्रियः

    teṣhām — of them

    Even the food each person likes is of three kinds — and so are offering, austerity and giving. Hear how they differ.
