9.22 I carry what they need Krishna speaks
अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तो मां ये जनाः पर्युपासते
तेषां नित्याभियुक्तानां योगक्षेमं वहाम्यहम्
ananyāśh chintayanto māṁ ye janāḥ paryupāsate
teṣhāṁ nityābhiyuktānāṁ yoga-kṣhemaṁ vahāmyaham
Those who think of nothing else and worship me constantly — for them, always steady, I carry what they need.
Explanation
I carry what they need.
yoga-kṣemaṁ vahāmy aham, and the two words are worth separating: yoga is getting, kṣema is keeping safe what has been got.
Both are taken over. Against 9.20's worshippers, who asked and received and had to come back, this promises something ongoing rather than granted once.

The two words are worth separating. Yoga is acquisition, kṣhema is keeping safe what has been acquired. It is a promise about provision, not about reward, and it is one of the plainest sentences in the book.
