- 2.55
प्रजहाति यदा कामान् सर्वान् पार्थ मनोगतान्
ātmani — of the self
When a person lets go of every desire that has entered the mind, and is content within the self by the self — then that one is called steady in wisdom.
- 3.17
यस्त्वात्मरतिरेव स्यादात्मतृप्तश्च मानवः
ātma-ratiḥ — rejoice in the self
But the one who takes delight in the self, content in the self, satisfied in the self alone — for that one there is nothing that must be done.
- 4.35
यज्ज्ञात्वा न पुनर्मोहमेवं यास्यसि पाण्डव
ātmani — within me (Shree Krishna)
Knowing it, you will not fall into this confusion again. By it you will see all beings, without exception, in yourself and in me.
- 4.38
न हि ज्ञानेन सदृशं पवित्रमिह विद्यते
ātmani — wihtin the heart
Nothing in this world purifies like knowledge. One perfected in practice finds it in time, within.

बाह्यस्पर्शेष्वसक्तात्मा विन्दत्यात्मनि यत्सुखम्
ātmani — in the self
Unattached to outward contacts, one finds the happiness that is in the self. Joined to Brahman through yoga, such a person reaches inexhaustible joy.
- 6.18
यदा विनियतं चित्तमात्मन्येवावतिष्ठते
ātmani — of the self
When the disciplined mind rests in the self alone, free of craving for anything wanted — then one is said to be joined.
- 6.20
यत्रोपरमते चित्तं निरुद्धं योगसेवया
ātmanā — through the purified mind
Where the mind, restrained by the practice of yoga, comes to rest; where, seeing the self by the self, one is content in the self;
- 6.26
यतो यतो निश्चरति मनश्चञ्चलमस्थिरम्
ātmani — on God
Wherever the restless, unsteady mind wanders off, from there one should draw it back and settle it again in the self.
- 6.29
सर्वभूतस्थमात्मानं सर्वभूतानि चात्मनि
ātmānam — Supreme Soul
One joined in yoga sees the self in all beings and all beings in the self — sees the same everywhere.

ध्यानेनात्मनि पश्यन्ति केचिदात्मानमात्मना
ātmani — within one’s heart
Some see the self in the self by meditation; some by the way of reasoning; and some by the way of action.
- 15.11
यतन्तो योगिनश्चैनं पश्यन्त्यात्मन्यवस्थितम्
ātmani — in the body
Those who practise and strive see him established in themselves. But the careless, whose selves are not made ready, do not see him though they strive.
