6.29 The self in all beings Krishna speaks

सर्वभूतस्थमात्मानं सर्वभूतानि चात्मनि
ईक्षते योगयुक्तात्मा सर्वत्र समदर्शनः

sarva-bhūta-stham ātmānaṁ sarva-bhūtāni chātmani
īkṣhate yoga-yuktātmā sarvatra sama-darśhanaḥ

One joined in yoga sees the self in all beings and all beings in the self — sees the same everywhere.

Explanation

The self in all beings, and all beings in the self.

Both directions, and then the summary: sees the same everywhere.

This is where a chapter about sitting alone in a clean place turns outward. Every practice the Gita describes ends up here — 13.28 by analysis, 12.13 by devotion, and this one by eight verses of posture.
