    येषामर्थे काङ्क्षितं नो राज्यं भोगाः सुखानि च

    yeṣhām — for whose

    Those for whose sake we would want a kingdom, and pleasures, and happiness — they are the ones standing here, ready to give up their lives and their wealth:

    भयाद्रणादुपरतं मंस्यन्ते त्वां महारथाः

    yeṣhām — for whom

    The great warriors will say you left the field out of fear — those who held you in high regard. Nothing lighter could be said of you.

    ज्ञानेन तु तदज्ञानं येषां नाशितमात्मनः

    yeṣhām — whose

    But for those in whom that ignorance of the self has been destroyed by knowledge, knowledge lights up the highest as the sun lights up everything.

    इहैव तैर्जितः सर्गो येषां साम्ये स्थितं मनः

    yeṣhām — whose

    Those whose minds are established in evenness have conquered creation in this very life. Brahman is flawless and the same, and so they are established in Brahman.

    येषां त्वन्तगतं पापं जनानां पुण्यकर्मणाम्

    yeṣhām — whose

    But those whose wrongdoing has come to an end, whose actions are good, freed from the confusion of opposites, worship me with resolve.

    महर्षयः सप्त पूर्वे चत्वारो मनवस्तथा

    yeṣhām — from them

    The seven great seers, the four before them, and the Manus, are born of my mind, and from them these creatures of the world.
