Lost
No direction, and nothing that feels like it means much.

Whenever what is right decays, something rises to meet it. Read structurally rather than theologically: the text asserts that collapse is not the end of the pattern.
Whenever what is right declines and what is wrong rises up, then I bring myself forth.

Those who think of nothing else and worship me constantly — for them, always steady, I carry what they need.

To those constantly steady, who worship me with love, I give the understanding by which they come to me.

Nothing already done is lost. When you cannot see forward, it helps to know the ground behind you has not disappeared.
On this path no effort is wasted and no step is lost. Even a little of it saves you from great fear.
