    स्पर्शान्कृत्वा बहिर्बाह्यांश्चक्षुश्चैवान्तरे भ्रुवोः

    muktaḥ — liberated

    Keeping outward contacts outside, the gaze between the brows, the outgoing and incoming breaths made even,

    यतेन्द्रियमनोबुद्धिर्मुनिर्मोक्षपरायणः

    muktaḥ — liberated

    senses, mind and understanding restrained, intent on release, free of longing, fear and anger — such a sage is always free.

    यस्मान्नोद्विजते लोको लोकान्नोद्विजते च यः

    muktaḥ — freed

    One by whom the world is not disturbed and who is not disturbed by the world, free of elation, impatience, fear and agitation — that one is dear to me.

  4. 18.71

    श्रद्धावाननसूयश्च श्रृणुयादपि यो नरः

    muktaḥ — liberated

    And a person who merely listens to it with faith and without carping is freed, and reaches the worlds of those who have done well.
