As a person passes from childhood to youth to age, so the embodied one passes from body to body. The steady are not confused by this.

जरामरणमोक्षाय मामाश्रित्य यतन्ति ये

Those who take refuge in me and strive for release from old age and death know Brahman, and know the whole.
