13.9 Seeing the trouble clearly Krishna speaks

इन्द्रियार्थेषु वैराग्यमनहङ्कार एव च
जन्ममृत्युजराव्याधिदुःखदोषानुदर्शनम्

indriyārtheṣhu vairāgyam anahankāra eva cha
janma-mṛityu-jarā-vyādhi-duḥkha-doṣhānudarśhanam

dispassion toward the objects of sense, absence of the sense of self, and seeing clearly the trouble in birth, death, old age and sickness;

The Buddhist ring of that list is hard to miss. What the Gita does with it is different: the seeing is not the beginning of a path here but an item of knowledge in its own right.
