देवान्भावयतानेन ते देवा भावयन्तु वः
devān — celestial gods
Sustain the gods by this, and let the gods sustain you. Sustaining one another, you will reach the highest good.

अन्तवत्तु फलं तेषां तद्भवत्यल्पमेधसाम्
devān — to the celestial gods
But the fruit they gain has an end, for their understanding is small. Worshippers of the gods go to the gods; those devoted to me come to me.

यान्ति देवव्रता देवान् पितृ़न्यान्ति पितृव्रताः
deva-vratāḥ — worshipers of celestial gods
Those devoted to the gods go to the gods; to the ancestors, to the ancestors; to the spirits, to the spirits. Those who make their offering to me come to me.

पश्यामि देवांस्तव देव देहे सर्वांस्तथा भूतविशेषसङ्घान्

I see all the gods in your body, and all the kinds of beings; Brahma on his lotus seat, and all the seers and divine serpents.

यजन्ते सात्त्विका देवान्यक्षरक्षांसि राजसाः

Those of clarity worship the gods; those of restlessness, the powers of wealth and force; and those of inertia worship ghosts and the hosts of spirits.
