Having said this, Arjuna sat down on the floor of the chariot in the middle of the battle, let his bow and arrows fall, and his mind was overcome with grief.

न हि प्रपश्यामि ममापनुद्या द्यच्छोकमुच्छोषणमिन्द्रियाणाम्

śhokam — anguish

I cannot see what would drive off this grief that is drying up my senses — not if I won an unrivalled kingdom on earth, or lordship over the gods themselves.

कट्वम्ललवणात्युष्णतीक्ष्णरूक्षविदाहिनः

śhoka — grief

Foods that are bitter, sour, salty, very hot, sharp, dry and burning are wanted by those of restlessness, and bring pain, grief and sickness.

यया स्वप्नं भयं शोकं विषादं मदमेव च

śhokam — grieving

And the steadiness by which the dull do not let go of sleep, fear, grief, despair and conceit is of inertia.
