Understanding, knowledge, clarity, patience, truthfulness, restraint of the senses, calm of mind, pleasure and pain, coming to be and ceasing to be, fear and fearlessness,

शमो दमस्तपः शौचं क्षान्तिरार्जवमेव च
śhamaḥ — tranquility
Calm, restraint, austerity, purity, patience, integrity, knowledge, insight and faith are the work born of the nature of the priestly.
