prasīda — have mercy
Seeing your mouths, terrible with their teeth, like the fires of the world's ending, I lose my bearings and find no shelter. Have mercy, lord of gods, refuge of the worlds.

आख्याहि मे को भवानुग्ररूपो नमोऽस्तु ते देववर प्रसीद
prasīda — be merciful
Tell me who you are, you of fearful form. I bow to you; have mercy, best of gods. I wish to know you as you are at the first, for I do not understand what you are doing.

अदृष्टपूर्वं हृषितोऽस्मि दृष्ट्वा भयेन च प्रव्यथितं मनो मे
pravyathitam — trembles
I am glad to have seen what was never seen before, and my mind is shaken with fear. Show me that other form of yours, lord of gods, refuge of the world; have mercy.
