11.45 Show me the other form Arjuna speaks

अदृष्टपूर्वं हृषितोऽस्मि दृष्ट्वा भयेन च प्रव्यथितं मनो मे

adṛiṣhṭa-pūrvaṁ hṛiṣhito ’smi dṛiṣhṭvā
bhayena cha pravyathitaṁ mano me
tad eva me darśhaya deva rūpaṁ
prasīda deveśha jagan-nivāsa

I am glad to have seen what was never seen before, and my mind is shaken with fear. Show me that other form of yours, lord of gods, refuge of the world; have mercy.

Explanation

Glad, and shaken.

I am glad to have seen what was never seen before — and my mind is shaken with fear.

Both, in one line, without resolution. And then the request: show me that other form. He does not regret asking; he cannot stay in the answer.
