Chapter 1 3 of 18 chapters Chapter 18
  1. 9.17

    pitā — Father

I am the father of this world, and the mother, the sustainer, the grandsire; the object of knowledge, the purifier, the syllable Om, and the three Vedas.

  2. 11.43

    pitā — the father

You are the father of this world, of what moves and what does not. You are its teacher, and worthy of its worship, and greater than any. There is nothing like you; how could anything be greater, you of matchless might in the three worlds?

  3. 11.44

    pitā — father

So I bow down, I prostrate my body, and I ask your grace, lord worthy of worship. As a father bears with a son, a friend with a friend, a lover with the beloved — bear with me.

  4. 14.4

    pitā — Father

Whatever forms arise in any womb, son of Kunti, the great nature is their womb, and I am the father who gives the seed.
