    अशोच्यानन्वशोचस्त्वं प्रज्ञावादांश्च भाषसे

    paṇḍitāḥ — the wise

    You grieve for those who should not be grieved for — and you speak, meanwhile, like a wise man. The wise mourn neither the living nor the dead.

    सांख्ययोगौ पृथग्बालाः प्रवदन्ति न पण्डिताः

    paṇḍitāḥ — the learned

    Children say that renunciation and yoga are different things; the learned do not. Whoever is truly established in one gains the fruit of both.

    विद्याविनयसंपन्ने ब्राह्मणे गवि हस्तिनि

    paṇḍitāḥ — the learned

    In a learned and humble brahmin, in a cow, an elephant, a dog, and one who eats a dog, the learned see the same.
