तस्य संजनयन्हर्षं कुरुवृद्धः पितामहः

harṣham — joy

To hearten him, the grand old man of the Kurus, the glorious grandsire, roared like a lion and blew his conch.

यस्मान्नोद्विजते लोको लोकान्नोद्विजते च यः

harṣha — pleasure

One by whom the world is not disturbed and who is not disturbed by the world, free of elation, impatience, fear and agitation — that one is dear to me.

रागी कर्मफलप्रेप्सुर्लुब्धो हिंसात्मकोऽशुचिः

harṣha-śhoka-anvitaḥ — moved by joy and sorrow

A doer who craves, who covets the fruit of action, greedy, harmful by nature, unclean, moved by elation and grief, is said to be of restlessness.
