अपर्याप्तं तदस्माकं बलं भीष्माभिरक्षितम्
balam — strength
Our strength is beyond counting, with Bhishma guarding it; theirs is limited, with Bhima at its head.

चञ्चलं हि मनः कृष्ण प्रमाथि बलवद्दृढम्
bala-vat — strong
The mind is restless, Krishna, turbulent, strong and stubborn. Holding it seems to me as hard as holding the wind.

बलं बलवतां चाहं कामरागविवर्जितम्

I am the strength of the strong, free of desire and craving. I am the desire in beings that does not go against what is right.

free of the sense of self, of force, arrogance, desire, anger and possession, without claiming anything as “mine”, at peace — such a person is fit for the state of Brahman.
