  1. 2.34

    अकीर्तिं चापि भूतानि कथयिष्यन्ति तेऽव्ययाम्

    avyayām — everlasting

    People will speak of your disgrace, and it will not be forgotten. For one who has been honoured, dishonour is worse than dying.

  2. 11.18

    त्वमक्षरं परमं वेदितव्यं त्वमस्य विश्वस्य परं निधानम्

    avyayaḥ — eternal

    You are the imperishable, the highest to be known. You are the ultimate resting place of this world; you are the undying guardian of what is right; you are, I believe, the everlasting person.

    अनादित्वान्निर्गुणत्वात्परमात्मायमव्ययः

    avyayaḥ — imperishable

    Being without beginning and without the strands, this highest self does not perish. Though seated in the body, Arjuna, it does not act and is not stained.

  4. 15.17

    उत्तमः पुरुषस्त्वन्यः परमात्मेत्युदाहृतः

    avyayaḥ — indestructible

    But there is another, the highest person, called the supreme self — who, entering the three worlds, upholds them, unchanging.
