न त्वेवाहं जातु नासं न त्वं नेमे जनाधिपाः
ataḥ — from now
There was never a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor these kings; and there will never be a time when any of us cease to be.
- 9.24
अहं हि सर्वयज्ञानां भोक्ता च प्रभुरेव च
ataḥ — therefore
For I am the one who receives every offering, and its lord. But they do not know me as I am, and so they fall.
- 13.12
अध्यात्मज्ञाननित्यत्वं तत्त्वज्ञानार्थदर्शनम्
ataḥ — to this
constancy in knowledge of the self, and looking toward what knowledge is for — all this is called knowledge; what is otherwise is ignorance.
- 15.18
यस्मात्क्षरमतीतोऽहमक्षरादपि चोत्तमः
atītaḥ — transcendental
Because I am beyond the perishable and higher even than the imperishable, I am celebrated in the world and in the Vedas as the highest person.
