aphala-ākāṅkṣhibhiḥ

अफलाकाङ्क्षिभिर्यज्ञो विधिदृष्टो य इज्यते

aphala-ākāṅkṣhibhiḥ — without expectation of any reward

An offering made as the scriptures direct, by those who want no fruit from it, holding only that it is to be done, is of clarity.

श्रद्धया परया तप्तं तपस्तत्ित्रविधं नरैः

aphala-ākāṅkṣhibhiḥ — without yearning for material rewards

This threefold austerity, practised with the highest faith by those who seek no fruit and are steady, is said to be of clarity.

नियतं सङ्गरहितमरागद्वेषतः कृतम्

aphala-prepsunā — without desire for rewards

Action that is required, done without attachment, without craving or aversion, by one who does not seek its fruit, is said to be of clarity.
