18.23 Action of clarity Krishna speaks

नियतं सङ्गरहितमरागद्वेषतः कृतम्
अफलप्रेप्सुना कर्म यत्तत्सात्त्विकमुच्यते

niyataṁ saṅga-rahitam arāga-dveṣhataḥ kṛitam
aphala-prepsunā karma yat tat sāttvikam uchyate

Action that is required, done without attachment, without craving or aversion, by one who does not seek its fruit, is said to be of clarity.

Action of clarity.

Required, unattached, without craving or aversion, by one who does not seek the fruit.

Four conditions and none of them concerns what the action is. As with 17.11's offering, the grade is decided entirely by the relationship to it.
