anta-kāle

अन्तवन्त इमे देहा नित्यस्योक्ताः शरीरिणः

anta-vantaḥ — having an end

These bodies have an end. The one who wears them is said to be eternal, indestructible, beyond measure. Therefore fight.

एषा ब्राह्मी स्थितिः पार्थ नैनां प्राप्य विमुह्यति

anta-kāle — at the hour of death

This is the state of Brahman, son of Pritha. Having reached it, one is not deluded. Established in it, even at the hour of death, one comes to the peace of Brahman.

अन्तवत्तु फलं तेषां तद्भवत्यल्पमेधसाम्

anta-vat — perishable

But the fruit they gain has an end, for their understanding is small. Worshippers of the gods go to the gods; those devoted to me come to me.

येषां त्वन्तगतं पापं जनानां पुण्यकर्मणाम्

anta-gatam — completely destroyed

But those whose wrongdoing has come to an end, whose actions are good, freed from the confusion of opposites, worship me with resolve.

अन्तकाले च मामेव स्मरन्मुक्त्वा कलेवरम्

anta-kāle — at the time of death

And at the last hour, one who leaves the body remembering me alone goes to my own state. Of this there is no doubt.
