    अव्यक्तं व्यक्ितमापन्नं मन्यन्ते मामबुद्धयः

    ajānantaḥ — not understanding

    The unthinking suppose that I, the unmanifest, have taken on a form — not knowing my higher nature, which does not change.

  2. 9.11

    अवजानन्ति मां मूढा मानुषीं तनुमाश्रितम्

    ajānantaḥ — not knowing

    The dim-witted disregard me, having taken on a human form — not knowing my higher nature, the great lord of beings.

  3. 13.26

    अन्ये त्वेवमजानन्तः श्रुत्वाऽन्येभ्य उपासते

    ajānantaḥ — those who are unaware (of spiritual paths)

    And others, not knowing this, hear it from others and worship. They too cross beyond death, holding to what they have heard.
