9.11 Disregarded for having a form Krishna speaks

अवजानन्ति मां मूढा मानुषीं तनुमाश्रितम्
परं भावमजानन्तो मम भूतमहेश्वरम्

avajānanti māṁ mūḍhā mānuṣhīṁ tanum āśhritam
paraṁ bhāvam ajānanto mama bhūta-maheśhvaram

The dim-witted disregard me, having taken on a human form — not knowing my higher nature, the great lord of beings.

Explanation

Disregarded, precisely for having a body.

The dim-witted think little of him because he has taken human form, not knowing the higher nature behind it.

The mistake 7.24 described, given a motive. Familiarity is what causes it: the form is the thing that makes him approachable and dismissible at once, and the chapter is built on the first half of that.
