7.13 The world does not know Krishna speaks

त्रिभिर्गुणमयैर्भावैरेभिः सर्वमिदं जगत्
मोहितं नाभिजानाति मामेभ्यः परमव्ययम्

tribhir guṇa-mayair bhāvair ebhiḥ sarvam idaṁ jagat
mohitaṁ nābhijānāti māmebhyaḥ param avyayam

Deluded by these three states made of the strands, the whole world does not know me, who am above them and unchanging.

Explanation

Why nobody notices.

Deluded by the three states made of the strands, the whole world does not know him — who is above them and unchanging.

Consistent with 5.15: knowledge is covered, not missing. What obscures is not ignorance in the sense of lacking data but being fully occupied by what the strands are doing.
