samaṁ kāya-śhiro-grīvaṁ dhārayann achalaṁ sthiraḥ
samprekṣhya nāsikāgraṁ svaṁ diśhaśh chānavalokayan
Holding body, head and neck straight and unmoving, still, gaze steady and not looking about,
Explanation
The posture, and it is only about being unmoving.
Body, head and neck straight and still; the gaze steady and not looking about.
Three clauses, all mechanical. There is no mention of what to visualise or feel — the chapter is describing what to do with a body, on the assumption that the mind is downstream of it.
