4.25 Two kinds of offering Krishna speaks
दैवमेवापरे यज्ञं योगिनः पर्युपासते
ब्रह्माग्नावपरे यज्ञं यज्ञेनैवोपजुह्वति
daivam evāpare yajñaṁ yoginaḥ paryupāsate
brahmāgnāvapare yajñaṁ yajñenaivopajuhvati
Some who practise offer sacrifice to the gods; others offer sacrifice itself into the fire of Brahman.
Explanation
And then a catalogue begins.
Some offer to the gods; others offer sacrifice itself into the fire of Brahman.
Six verses follow, and they list every kind of offering the tradition knew. The point of the list is its breadth — and 4.32 will say what the breadth was for.
