3.18 Gaining nothing either way Krishna speaks
नैव तस्य कृतेनार्थो नाकृतेनेह कश्चन
न चास्य सर्वभूतेषु कश्िचदर्थव्यपाश्रयः
naiva tasya kṛitenārtho nākṛiteneha kaśhchana
na chāsya sarva-bhūteṣhu kaśhchid artha-vyapāśhrayaḥ
Such a person gains nothing by acting and loses nothing by not acting, and depends on no creature for anything.
Explanation
Nothing gained either way.
Such a person gains nothing by acting and loses nothing by not acting, and depends on no creature for anything.
Which is the precise description of someone the wheel of 3.14 no longer applies to. And it is also Krishna's own position, four verses later — where he says he acts anyway.
