18.57 Give over every action Krishna speaks
चेतसा सर्वकर्माणि मयि संन्यस्य मत्परः
बुद्धियोगमुपाश्रित्य मच्चित्तः सततं भव
chetasā sarva-karmāṇi mayi sannyasya mat-paraḥ
buddhi-yogam upāśhritya mach-chittaḥ satataṁ bhava
Give over every action to me in your thought, take me as the highest, hold to the yoga of understanding, and keep your mind always on me.
Explanation
Give over every action.
In thought — cetasā. Take him as the highest, hold to the yoga of understanding, keep the mind always there.
Four instructions, all interior, and the last is the phrase that has recurred since chapter 8: the mind kept there and nowhere else.
