18.56 Performing every kind of action Krishna speaks
सर्वकर्माण्यपि सदा कुर्वाणो मद्व्यपाश्रयः
मत्प्रसादादवाप्नोति शाश्वतं पदमव्ययम्
sarva-karmāṇy api sadā kurvāṇo mad-vyapāśhrayaḥ
mat-prasādād avāpnoti śhāśhvataṁ padam avyayam
Though always performing every kind of action, one who takes full refuge in me reaches by my grace the imperishable, unchanging state.
Explanation
Though always performing every kind of action.
One who takes full refuge reaches, by my grace, the imperishable state.
The final statement of the book's central promise, and it keeps both halves: the activity continues, and what is reached is unchanging. Nothing about liberation here requires stopping.
