18.58 You will cross every difficulty Krishna speaks

मच्चित्तः सर्वदुर्गाणि मत्प्रसादात्तरिष्यसि
अथ चेत्त्वमहङ्कारान्न श्रोष्यसि विनङ्क्ष्यसि

mach-chittaḥ sarva-durgāṇi mat-prasādāt tariṣhyasi
atha chet tvam ahankārān na śhroṣhyasi vinaṅkṣhyasi

With your mind on me you will cross every difficulty by my grace. But if out of the sense of self you will not listen, you will be lost.

Explanation

You will cross every difficulty.

And then the other half, which is rarely quoted: if out of the sense of self you will not listen, you will be lost.

The condition named is not disbelief but ahaṅkāra — the sense of being the one who decides. Which is the exact thing 18.16 called not seeing rightly.
