  1. 2.67

    vāyuḥ — wind

As a boat on water is carried off by the wind, so a mind that follows the wandering senses carries off the understanding.

  2. 7.4

    vāyuḥ — air

Earth, water, fire, air, space, mind, understanding and the sense of self — these are the eight divisions of my lower nature.

  3. 9.6

    vāyuḥ — the wind

As the great wind, blowing everywhere, rests in space — so all beings rest in me. Understand it that way.

  4. 11.39

vāyuḥ — the god of wind

You are the wind, death, fire, the waters, the moon, the lord of creatures, and the great-grandfather. I bow to you a thousand times, and again, and again I bow.

  5. 15.8

    vāyuḥ — the air

When the lord of the body takes a body, and when he leaves it, he carries these with him — as the wind carries scents from their places.
