ब्रह्मार्पणं ब्रह्महविर्ब्रह्माग्नौ ब्रह्मणा हुतम्

hutam — offered

The offering is Brahman, the oblation is Brahman, poured by Brahman into the fire of Brahman. Brahman is what such a one reaches, whose action is Brahman.

अहं क्रतुरहं यज्ञः स्वधाऽहमहमौषधम्

I am the rite, I am the offering, I am the oblation to the ancestors, I am the herb, I am the sacred word, I am the clarified butter, I am the fire, and I am the pouring.

अश्रद्धया हुतं दत्तं तपस्तप्तं कृतं च यत्

hutam — sacrifice

But an offering made, a gift given, an austerity practised or an act done without faith is called Asat, Arjuna. It is nothing here, and nothing beyond.
