    सुखं त्विदानीं त्रिविधं श्रृणु मे भरतर्षभ

    agre — at first

    Now hear from me of the three kinds of happiness, best of the Bharatas.

  2. 18.37

    यत्तदग्रे विषमिव परिणामेऽमृतोपमम्

    agre — in the beginning

    That which is like poison at first and like nectar in the end, born of the clarity of self-knowledge, is happiness of clarity.

  3. 18.38

    विषयेन्द्रियसंयोगाद्यत्तदग्रेऽमृतोपमम्

    agre — at first

    That which arises from the meeting of the senses with their objects, like nectar at first and poison in the end, is happiness of restlessness.

  4. 18.39

    यदग्रे चानुबन्धे च सुखं मोहनमात्मनः

    agre — from beginning

    And that happiness which deludes the self from beginning to end, arising from sleep, idleness and heedlessness, is said to be of inertia.
