7.22 It is I who grant it Krishna speaks

स तया श्रद्धया युक्तस्तस्याराधनमीहते
लभते च ततः कामान्मयैव विहितान् हि तान्

sa tayā śhraddhayā yuktas tasyārādhanam īhate
labhate cha tataḥ kāmān mayaiva vihitān hi tān

Joined to that faith, they seek what it offers and obtain what they want — though it is I who grant it.

Explanation

They get what they came for, and he gave it.

Joined to that faith, they seek what it offers and obtain it — though it is I who grant it.

The parenthesis carries everything. Nothing is being withheld and nothing is being corrected; the transaction works. The only thing the worshipper is wrong about is who paid.
