6.45 Perfected across many births Krishna speaks

प्रयत्नाद्यतमानस्तु योगी संशुद्धकिल्बिषः
अनेकजन्मसंसिद्धस्ततो याति परां गतिम्

prayatnād yatamānas tu yogī sanśhuddha-kilbiṣhaḥ
aneka-janma-sansiddhas tato yāti parāṁ gatim

Striving with effort, purified of fault, perfected across many births, the practitioner then reaches the highest goal.

Explanation

Perfected across many births.

Striving, purified of fault, and then the goal — with the timescale stated plainly.

Read against 6.34's like holding the wind, this is the real answer to the objection. Not that it is easier than Arjuna thinks, but that there is more time than he thinks.
