6.15 The peace that is release Krishna speaks
युञ्जन्नेवं सदाऽऽत्मानं योगी नियतमानसः
शान्तिं निर्वाणपरमां मत्संस्थामधिगच्छति
yuñjann evaṁ sadātmānaṁ yogī niyata-mānasaḥ
śhantiṁ nirvāṇa-paramāṁ mat-sansthām adhigachchhati
Keeping the self constantly so joined, the practitioner with a disciplined mind reaches the peace that is the highest release, and dwells in me.
Explanation
What it is for.
Keeping the self so joined, the practitioner reaches nirvāṇa-paramām śāntim — the peace that is the highest release — and dwells in him.
Both endings are given at once, the impersonal and the personal, exactly as at 8.21 and 15.6. The Gita's summit is always described twice.
