5.24 Lit from within Krishna speaks

योऽन्तःसुखोऽन्तरारामस्तथान्तर्ज्योतिरेव यः
स योगी ब्रह्मनिर्वाणं ब्रह्मभूतोऽधिगच्छति

yo 'ntaḥ-sukho 'ntar-ārāmas tathāntar-jyotir eva yaḥ
sa yogī brahma-nirvāṇaṁ brahma-bhūto 'dhigachchhati

Whoever is happy within, at rest within, and lit from within — that one who practises reaches the peace of Brahman.

Explanation

Happy within, at rest within, lit within.

Three phrases, all turned inward, and the last is the striking one: antar-jyotiḥ, having the light inside.

It anticipates 15.6 — the dwelling no sun lights — from the other end. The light that does not come from anywhere is described here as something a person can simply be.
