4.19 Burnt in the fire of knowledge Krishna speaks
यस्य सर्वे समारम्भाः कामसङ्कल्पवर्जिताः
ज्ञानाग्निदग्धकर्माणं तमाहुः पण्डितं बुधाः
yasya sarve samārambhāḥ kāma-saṅkalpa-varjitāḥ
jñānāgni-dagdha-karmāṇaṁ tam āhuḥ paṇḍitaṁ budhāḥ
One whose undertakings are all free of desire and calculation, whose actions have been burnt in the fire of knowledge — that one the wise call learned.
Explanation
Undertakings free of desire and calculation.
saṅkalpa again — the planning, the settling-what-for, which chapter 6 makes the thing to be renounced.
And the actions are described as burnt in the fire of knowledge. The metaphor is doing something specific: not prevented, not undone — consumed.
