3.26 Do not unsettle them Krishna speaks
न बुद्धिभेदं जनयेदज्ञानां कर्मसङ्गिनाम्
जोषयेत्सर्वकर्माणि विद्वान् युक्तः समाचरन्
na buddhi-bhedaṁ janayed ajñānāṁ karma-saṅginām
joṣhayet sarva-karmāṇi vidvān yuktaḥ samācharan
The wise should not unsettle the minds of the unknowing who are attached to their work. Let them instead be encouraged in all they do.
Explanation
And do not unsettle the ones who have not got there.
The wise should not disturb the minds of the unknowing attached to their work. Let them be encouraged in all they do.
An unexpectedly considerate instruction. Knowing better does not license telling everybody — the Gita's advice to the enlightened is to keep quiet and be kind.
