2.52 Across the swamp of confusion Krishna speaks
यदा ते मोहकलिलं बुद्धिर्व्यतितरिष्यति
तदा गन्तासि निर्वेदं श्रोतव्यस्य श्रुतस्य च
yadā te moha-kalilaṁ buddhir vyatitariṣhyati
tadā gantāsi nirvedaṁ śhrotavyasya śhrutasya cha
When your understanding has crossed the swamp of confusion, then you will be indifferent to all you have heard and all you have yet to hear.
Explanation
Across the swamp of confusion.
Then you will be indifferent to all you have heard and all you have yet to hear.
An extraordinary thing for a teaching to promise: that its own reception will stop mattering. It is 2.46's lake again, and it is why 2.42's rudeness is not anti-intellectual.
