18.72 Has your confusion gone? Krishna speaks
कच्चिदेतच्छ्रुतं पार्थ त्वयैकाग्रेण चेतसा
कच्चिदज्ञानसंमोहः प्रनष्टस्ते धनञ्जय
kachchid etach chhrutaṁ pārtha tvayaikāgreṇa chetasā
kachchid ajñāna-sammohaḥ pranaṣhṭas te dhanañjaya
Have you heard this with a mind gathered to one point, son of Pritha? Has your confusion, born of unknowing, gone?
Explanation
Have you heard this with a mind gathered to one point?
Has your confusion, born of unknowing, gone?
Krishna asks. Seventeen chapters of teaching end with a question rather than a conclusion, and the answer is not assumed — which is of a piece with 18.63.
