14.27 I am the ground of Brahman Krishna speaks
ब्रह्मणो हि प्रतिष्ठाऽहममृतस्याव्ययस्य च
शाश्वतस्य च धर्मस्य सुखस्यैकान्तिकस्य च
brahmaṇo hi pratiṣhṭhāham amṛitasyāvyayasya cha
śhāśhvatasya cha dharmasya sukhasyaikāntikasya cha
For I am the ground of Brahman — of the deathless, the imperishable, the everlasting, and of what is right, and of happiness that does not end.
Explanation
The ground of Brahman — and that phrase is the chapter's last move.
brahmaṇaḥ pratiṣṭhā: he is what Brahman rests on. Of the deathless, the imperishable, of what is right, and of happiness that does not end.
It is the same position 15.17 will state as the highest person beyond both the perishable and the imperishable. Not the eternal half of a pair — what the pair stands on.
