13.27 Everything comes from the joining Krishna speaks
यावत्सञ्जायते किञ्चित्सत्त्वं स्थावरजङ्गमम्
क्षेत्रक्षेत्रज्ञसंयोगात्तद्विद्धि भरतर्षभ
yāvat sañjāyate kiñchit sattvaṁ sthāvara-jaṅgamam
kṣhetra-kṣhetrajña-sanyogāt tad viddhi bharatarṣhabha
Whatever comes into being, moving or unmoving, know it to arise from the joining of the field and the knower of the field.
Explanation
Everything comes from the joining.
Whatever exists, moving or unmoving, arises from field and knower together.
Which is why 13.20 insisted both are beginningless. Nothing in this account is produced by spirit acting on matter or by matter throwing up spirit — existence is the meeting, and neither party precedes it.
