11.54 But by devotion Krishna speaks
भक्त्या त्वनन्यया शक्यमहमेवंविधोऽर्जुन
ज्ञातुं दृष्टुं च तत्त्वेन प्रवेष्टुं च परंतप
bhaktyā tv ananyayā śhakya aham evaṁ-vidho ’rjuna
jñātuṁ draṣhṭuṁ cha tattvena praveṣhṭuṁ cha parantapa
But by devotion turned nowhere else I can be known in this way, Arjuna, and seen, and entered.
Explanation
But by devotion turned nowhere else.
bhaktyā tv ananyayā — the same phrase as 8.14, 9.13 and 12.6. Known in this way, and seen, and entered.
Three verbs, escalating. And the answer to the chapter's terror is the same undivided attention the rest of the book has been asking for all along.
