11.36 It is fitting Arjuna speaks

स्थाने हृषीकेश तव प्रकीर्त्या जगत् प्रहृष्यत्यनुरज्यते च
रक्षांसि भीतानि दिशो द्रवन्ति सर्वे नमस्यन्ति च सिद्धसङ्घाः

sthāne hṛiṣhīkeśha tava prakīrtyā
jagat prahṛiṣhyaty anurajyate cha
rakṣhānsi bhītāni diśho dravanti
sarve namasyanti cha siddha-saṅghāḥ

It is fitting, Krishna, that the world rejoices and delights in praising you. The demons flee in every direction, and all the perfected bow.

Explanation

It is fitting.

And what he does with the fear is praise — the world rejoices, the demons flee, the perfected bow.

Twenty verses of praise now follow, from a man stammering. The Gita's picture of devotion includes this: saying the right things while shaking.
