10.39 The seed of all beings Krishna speaks
यच्चापि सर्वभूतानां बीजं तदहमर्जुन
न तदस्ति विना यत्स्यान्मया भूतं चराचरम्
yach chāpi sarva-bhūtānāṁ bījaṁ tad aham arjuna
na tad asti vinā yat syān mayā bhūtaṁ charācharam
And whatever is the seed of all beings, that am I, Arjuna. There is nothing that moves or does not move that exists without me.
Explanation
And whatever is the seed.
There is nothing that moves or does not move that exists without me.
The catalogue closes by dissolving itself. Having named the best of forty categories, the verse says the principle was never about bests — nothing at all is outside it.
