10.16 Tell me of the glories Arjuna speaks
वक्तुमर्हस्यशेषेण दिव्या ह्यात्मविभूतयः
याभिर्विभूतिभिर्लोकानिमांस्त्वं व्याप्य तिष्ठसि
vaktum arhasyaśheṣheṇa divyā hyātma-vibhūtayaḥ
yābhir vibhūtibhir lokān imāṁs tvaṁ vyāpya tiṣhṭhasi
Tell me in full, then, of your divine glories — those glories by which you pervade these worlds and dwell in them.
Explanation
Tell me, then, in full.
Those glories by which you pervade these worlds and dwell in them.
The request is not for a theory. He asks about the glories because they are the part of this that is in the world — findable, unlike the origin that nobody knows.
