    दोषैरेतैः कुलघ्नानां वर्णसङ्करकारकैः

    śhāśhvatāḥ — eternal

    By these wrongs of those who destroy a family — by the confusion of lineage they cause — the enduring duties of community and household are undone.

  2. 2.20

    न जायते म्रियते वा कदाचि न्नायं भूत्वा भविता वा न भूयः

    śhāśhvataḥ — immortal

    It is not born, and it does not die. Having been, it does not cease to be. Unborn, unending, everlasting, ancient — the body is killed; that is not.

    शुक्लकृष्णे गती ह्येते जगतः शाश्वते मते

    śhāśhvate — eternal

    These two paths, the bright and the dark, are held to be constant in this world. By one, a person does not return; by the other, they come back again.
